Modern architecture
entirely made of stone
Secludedly located at the entrance of our forest by the river, Casa do Ameixial presents a more contemporary architecture, entirely made with local materials such as wood and our own stone from the property. Full of light, several windows, a large one overlooks the spacious terrace where you can enjoy the sun or sit under the made-to-measure sunshade.

1 |
You easily reach Casa do Ameixial by turning towards Zambujeira de Baixo on the southern side (Odeceixe side) of the Odeceixe bridge.
2 |
The road then follows the river upstream for 3 km; the first km is asphalt and the other two km are dirt roads in good condition.
3 |
When you see a wooden bridge just by the road on your left, with a hand-painted sign saying “Propriedade Privada”, cross that bridge with the car and follow the road about 200 m, cross a second bridge, and turn right just after it. Some 50 meters ahead you’ll see Casa do Ameixial above on the left. Park on the right side next to the forest.
“Casa do Ameixial was the perfect getaway to relax in nature. We booked it largely for its interesting architecture and it did not disappoint!”
