Where it all began
Ancient watermill embraced by the river and the valley, converted into a spacious house with three independent suites, for 2 to 3 people each. Breakfast is served on the patio or living room of the house. In high season dinners are served a few times a week at Casa Principal, for guests of the estate only. On colder days the living room’s two fireplaces, sofa groups and dining tables create the coziest atmosphere.

You easily reach Casa Principal by turning towards Zambujeira de Baixo on the southern side (Odeceixe side) of the Odeceixe bridge.

The road then follows the river upstream for 3 km; the first km is asphalt and the other two km are dirt roads in good condition.

When you see a wooden bridge just by the road on your left, with a hand-painted sign saying “Propriedade Privada”, cross that bridge with the car and follow the road about 200 m, cross a second bridge and turn left just after it. At the end of that road, some 100 m away, you reach the private parking of Casa Principal.
